What is the licensing policy?

One license of Acronis Disk Director 12 per one machine/operating system.

If you have one machine with one operating system (which is usually the case), you need one license of Acronis Disk Director 12.

If you have a multiboot machine with more than one operating system, you will need one license of Acronis Disk Director 12 for each of the operating systems where you are going to use the product.

For example, you have a dual-boot machine with Windows XP and Windows 7. You will need one license of Acronis Disk Director 12 to use it under Windows XP and one license to use the product under Windows 7.

If you create Acronis Bootable Media, you can only use it on one machine. If you are going to use it on more than one machine, you will need a separate license for each computer.

All operations can be performed on volumes whose initial and resulting size is not larger than 100 MB. Operations on volumes whose size is larger than 100 MB cannot be committed.
Demo version of Acronis Disk Director 12 is not time limited.

Once you purchase the full product, you will not need to reinstall it. All you will need to do is switch it to a full version:

Does Acronis Disk Director 12 include OS Selector?

The OS Selector utility that used to be a part of the previous versions of Acronis Disk Director has been discontinued.

When you install Acronis Disk Director 12, your instance of OS Selector will be irrevocably removed.

Can I clone disks with Acronis Disk Director 12?

Yes. Using Acronis Disk Director 12 you can clone basic MBR disks and basic GPT disks without boot volumes or volumes containing an operating system. See Acronis Disk Director 12: Disk Cloning.

Can I use Acronis Disk Director 12 without installing it?

Yes, you can. To do this, you will need to download an ISO image of the product from your account at the Acronis website, burn it to a CD/DVD and boot your machine from it.
