Acronis, Swsoft Sign Distribution Agreement for Acronis True Image Server for the Plesk Control Panel

December 14, 2006, Burlington, MA — Acronis, Inc. (www.acronis.com), the technological leader in storage management software, announced it has expanded its joint development and marketing relationship with SWsoft Inc. by providing the automation and virtualization software vendor with OEM versions of Acronis True Image Server for Linux and Windows. The software will work with the SWsoft Plesk 8.1 control panel software. The stand-alone solution, which also works with other control panels, enables service providers to offer back-up and recovery capabilities with dedicated hosting packages.

Two versions of the software will be available exclusively through SWsoft. Acronis True Image Light provides basic system protection and recovery of servers with minimal downtime, while Acronis True Image Pro is a comprehensive version that gives service providers more protection and functionality including remote back-ups, incremental back-ups, high compression capability, back-up sharing across networks and more.

"Acronis and SWsoft have a long history of working together to deliver comprehensive, high-performance software solutions for the hosting industry," said Serg Bell, CEO of the Herndon, VA-based SWsoft. "This partnership supports our OPEN FUSION strategy to create a unified hosting ecosystem by advancing the integration of SWsoft products with a range of systems, applications and solutions."

"For more than two years now, Acronis has been focusing intensely on delivering enterprise-class virtualization tools," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "This agreement builds on the joint development partnership the companies announced in September 2004 and incorporates SWsoft's Open Fusion technology initiative into our next-generation Acronis True Image Server applications for Windows and Linux. This could not have been done without the cooperation of the engineering resources of SWsoft's Developer Network."

Terms of the agreement were not released.
