Acronis introduces competitive upgrade programme

Vendor offers up to 50% discount for customers

London, UK - November 13, 2009 - Acronis is launching a Competitive Upgrade programme which offers end users up to 50% off its disaster recovery and deployment solutions until the end of the year.

The offer is available through channel partners for customers using a product classed as competing with Acronis' recently launched portfolio of disaster recovery solutions, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10. The promotion is also available on Acronis' deployment solution, Acronis Snap Deploy. Unlike some competitive upgrade programmes, there is no minimum deal size on the promotion, and no limit on the number of licenses a company can purchase.

"Many of Acronis' existing customers are small to mid-size organisations and this is the area that we specialise in. The perceived cost of switching a disaster recovery strategy can seem daunting for SMBs. We want to cater for their needs by saving them money both up front and in the long term," said David Blackman, General Manager of Northern Europe, Acronis.

The promotion is available on all backup, recovery and deployment products from vendors which Acronis classes as competing, such as Symantec and CA. Customers are offered 40% off list price for switching from such vendors, plus an additional 10% off until the end of 2009.

Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 combines backup and recovery, deduplication and support for virtual environments in one solution, offering a powerful alternative to other products available on the market. The deduplication option allows organisations to cut storage requirements by up to 90%, allowing SMBs to benefit from long term savings by reducing their storage capacity requirements, as well as up front savings through a 50% discount on one of the most affordable deduplication solutions available today.

Recommended prices range from £41 for the stand-alone workstation edition up to £639 for the advanced server version, including centralised management capabilities. Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Deduplication option prices range from £16 per workstation up to £136 per server. Acronis corporate products include one year of Acronis Advantage Premier, 24x7x365 priority support.

To take advantage of this limited time offer, customers must show proof of ownership of a competitive product. For further details on the promotion, please visit: http://partners.acronis.eu/profile/login.html
