Acronis academy trains 100 channel partners in first six months

Smallworld IT Becomes 100th Reseller to Achieve 'ACE' Accreditation

LONDON, UK., 26 October, 2010 - Acronis, a leading provider of easy-to-use backup, recovery and security solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments, today announced it has successfully trained 100 UK channel partners in the Acronis Academy Programme over the last six months.

The company launched its Acronis Academy training programme in March 2010 to provide Acronis' channel partners with in-depth technical and sales training. The two-day, on-site class covers training and instruction on the company's migration and disaster recovery solutions, including the Acronis° Backup & Recovery 10™ portfolio. Partners who complete the course receive the Acronis Certified Engineer designation.

The course also delivers best practice advice on business' disaster recovery strategy and how to take advantage of technologies such as virtualisation and deduplication. It is designed to help IT administrators better manage their IT infrastructures and, ultimately, to help save costs.

Julian Small, Owner at Smallworld IT said: "The Acronis Academy training is a very comprehensive course. I am confident that it will help us achieve our sales objectives."

In order to meet the growing demand for the ACE training courses, Acronis has recently joined forces with QA, the UK's leading training company, to expand the programme reach in the UK.

"Having set aggressive goals of training 100 UK resellers, the Academy has got off to a great start. Our partnership with QA will help us accelerate the expansion of our training and certification programme across the country," said David Blackman, General Manager of Northern Europe, Acronis.
