Serguei Beloussov
Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer

Serguei is a co-founder of Acronis, Chairman of the Board since 2003, and the company's CEO since 2013.

Until 2011 Serguei held a position of CEO at Parallels, a global leader in virtualization and automation software, where he still provides leadership as an Executive Chairman.

In addition to Acronis and Parallels, Serguei sits on the Board of Directors at the Russian Quantum Center, Centre for Quantum Technologies in Singapore, and Acumatica. He is also a Senior Partner at Runa Capital venture fund which he co-founded with his university colleagues in 2010.

Serguei holds a B.S. in Physics, M.S. (Hons) in Physics and Electrical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

Ilya Zubarev has served Acronis as its' Chairman of the Board of Directors since June 2007. Mr. Zubarev is a founder of Rolsen, Infra Telesystems, SWsoft, Solomon Software SEA and Acumatica - all in partnership with Serguei Beloussov. Mr. Zubarev received his B.S. in Physics in 1993 and his M.S. in Physics and Electrical Engineering from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1995.

Ravi Jacob
Ravi Jacob

Ravi Jacob is vice president and treasurer of Intel Corporation. He was named treasurer in April 2005. In this role he manages Intel's cash and investments, capital markets activity, currency and other financial risks, credit and collections, retirement assets and risk and insurance. Prior to his appointment as treasurer, Ravi was Vice President, Finance and Asst. Treasurer, M&A. For seven years he led a worldwide team of approximately 50 treasury professionals responsible for structuring and executing Intel Capital's acquisitions, divestitures and strategic investment transactions. Ravi has held several management positions within Intel's treasury organization. From 1994-1998 he worked as assistant treasurer, Europe. In prior roles he managed the company's retirement investments portfolio and overseas cash management activities. Ravi joined Intel in 1984. He holds a master's degree in business administration from UCLA.

Rene joined Acronis' Board of Directors in February 2014, bringing over 25 years of product marketing, business development, and general management experience working for INGRES Corp, Oracle Corp, VERITAS Corp, Business Objects, SAP, Salesforce.com, Serena Software, and Palo Alto Networks.

Rene currently holds a CMO position at Palo Alto Networks and also sits on the board of directors of Mirantis, Mintigo, and Servoy.

Rene speaks four languages and has an Economics degree from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam.

Jim Herman

Jim Herman is Chief Revenue Officer for Acronis Inc. Prior to his current role, Jim led and built Sales, Business Development, Field Marketing and Services organizations for successful IT industry innovators. In his 4 plus years at Parallels as Senior Vice President, Jim drove sales and consistently over-delivered on the worldwide revenue plan. Additional responsibilities at Parallels included building and managing the Professional Services and Business Development teams.

Previous to Parallels he spent eleven year career with Symantec/VERITAS, where he served in a number of leadership roles in Enterprise Sales and Partner/Channel Development. Jim also made significant leadership contributions with technology pioneers NCR and Informix Software, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Evergreen State College.

Alexander “Sasha” Galitsky

Alexander Galitsky is a Managing Partner of Almaz Capital Partners, a venture fund with major offices in Portola Valley, CA, which is backed by Cisco Systems, EBRD and IFC, which he co-founded in 2008. Alexander is a well-known innovator, entrepreneur and investor in USA, Europe and Russia/CIS. Alexander serves as Member of the Skolkovo Foundation Board, Member of Skoltech Board of Trustees.

Alexander was honored numerous times as the most influential person in the Russian IT and Internet industry by Forbes, best GP of 2013 by Venture Awards, EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Russia in 2013, was nominated for best venture capitalist of the last decade in Europe in 2012 by Investor AllStars and named "Technology Pioneer" at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2000.

Prior to Almaz, Alexander made a series of private successful investments. His past and current investments include: Parallels, Yandex (IPO), QIK (sold to Skype), Vyatta (sold to Brocade), Acumatica, Jelastic, NavMaps (sold to TeleAtlas), Acronis, SJLabs (sold to VocalTec), EverNote, GridGain, WikiMart, CarPrice, StarWind, PIQ, Good Data among others.

Prior to his investment career, he founded five successful high-tech companies, ELVIS+, TrustWorks Systems (sold to Hamsard), EzWIM (sold to TMT Ventures), ELVIS Telecom (sold to Telenor) and NPC ELVIS, all of which he led as CEO. He pioneered in WiFi and Virtual Private Network technologies and product development on the global market in partnership with Sun Microsystems and was a pioneer of the Russian Internet industry back in the 90s. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Alexander served as one of the top technical executives for the Soviet space industry, where he worked on the MIR space station and the Soviet “Star Wars” response.

He has over 30 patents for numerous inventions, including parallel processing, WiFi and VPN security technologies.

He received his PhD in Computer Science from joint authority of Defense Research Institute and MIPT and graduated from MIET from the physical science department.

Jan-Jaap’s responsibility covers more than 120 countries and currently holds the position of EVP APJ & Emerging Markets and President of Acronis International.

He brings more than 14 years’ experience in the IT industry and has been close to Acronis over the years. Most recently as CEO of the Intergenia Group, one of the largest hosting companies in Europe. JJ has extensive experience in developing and growing emerging markets. In 2006, he joined SWsoft, now known as Parallels, with the task to build from scratch a whole new region that contributed substantially to Parallels’ revenue. Prior to joining Parallels, JJ was a pioneer within Microsoft Germany where he led the development and execution of the Microsoft Hosting Strategy.

Jan-Jaap holds a BA Degree in International Economics and Management at the Hanze university of Groningen in the Netherlands as well as an advanced degree from the University of Wuerzburg in Germany.

John Zanni
Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President Channel & Cloud Strategy

John leads marketing and communications globally across segments and channels. He manages the Acronis brand and perception, corporate, product and field marketing, demand generation, as well as influencer and analyst and media relations. He is also responsible for the strategy and growth of Acronis’ channel and cloud business.

Previously was Service Providers Chief Marketing Officer at Parallels. Overseeing the company’s global service provider marketing function, spanning the full service provider channel. He leads integrated marketing communications through product marketing, partner marketing, advertising, public and analysts relations, digital marketing, events, and relationship marketing. This includes developing partnerships with Parallels’ most strategic technology companies to enable hosting service providers using Parallels solutions to quickly create profitable cloud services that meet the diverse needs of their end customers.

Prior to joining Parallels, John was general manager of the Worldwide Software plus Services Industry team for the Communications Sector at Microsoft. In this role, he was responsible for driving the strategy for Microsoft’s hoster Cloud business. He worked closely with all types of service providers including Web Hosters, SAAS ISVs and Telcos to ensure that they were provided with the tools and resources necessary to grow their business.

Zanni was also responsible for helping drive Microsoft’s partner hosted initiative to provide the software plus services based next-generation platform, business applications and a compelling digital lifestyle experience for end-users through its extensive partner ecosystem.

Earlier in his career, Zanni created and managed the Office web site (http://office.microsoft.com/), which has become one of the top web sites worldwide.

Prior to Microsoft, he spent 12 years running a small business. Zanni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Physics from California State University Northridge.

Stanislav Protassov

Stanislav co-founded Acronis in 2001 and currently leads the research and development teams.

Previously, as co-founder and Senior Vice President of Engineering and R&D at Parallels, he managed software engineering in a wide range of development environments such as Windows, Novell Netware, and UNIX. Previously, as Architect and Developer at Solomon Software, Stanislav received personal praise from Bill Gates for Solomon Software’s Cassandra product architecture. Stanislav holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He has authored over 100 patent applications, with 40 issued patents to date, and has won more than 50 awards for software development.

Igor Zolotaryev is the global HR leader for Acronis responsible for supporting business strategies and objectives and managing the Human Resources organization across the globe.

Before Acronis Igor spent 10 years as HR Leader in Honeywell Corporation, starting as Russia and CIS Regional HR Leader and later taking on the position of the HR Director for Integrated Supply Chain for Home and Building Technologies in EMEA and South-East Asia, covering more than 5,000 employees in manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.

Igor holds a law degree from the University of Nizhny Novgorod and a degree in translation from Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University.

Mark joined the company in the second half of 2014 to lead its development as a leader in advanced technology and innovation. Mark’s primary focus includes IP strategy and creating business opportunities from cooperation with universities and R&D centers worldwide. Mark is based in Acronis Singapore office.

Prior to joining Acronis, Mark was Deputy Minister of ICT of Russia in 2012 - 2014. Prior to that, he had served as Head of Business Development at Russian Space Systems corporation.

Mark holds a PhD degree in computer science.

Michael is responsible for managing the company’s Finance Department and controlling all accounting processes, including global revenue, payroll, cash management, FP&A activities and reporting.

Since joining Acronis in 2014, Michael has improved the department’s productivity by rebuilding the finance team from the ground up, redistributing the workload among worldwide teams, optimizing reporting processes by shortening the monthly cycle, redesigning and implementing new processes, such as the purchasing process, SOX compliance and financial auditing and reporting.

Prior to joining Acronis, Michael spent 11 years in public accounting, with Ernst & Young in Israel and U.S., serving clients in the Technology, Communications, & Entertainment, and Biotechnology industries for both public and privately held companies. Michael has diverse experience including technical accounting, FP&A, due diligence, global tax planning and strategic planning. Michael fulfilled diverse leadership roles in the finance departments of various technology companies, including Acceleron Pharma, GlassHouse, and Aspect Software. Michael holds an MBA (Honors) from the College of Business Management, Israel and a CPA license in the US.

Mike is responsible for managing engineering projects, which include Acronis’ Global IT infrastructure and Global Customer Support, in addition to steering R&D activities in the U.S. and Singapore.

Mike joined Acronis in 2016 with a view to manage the expansion of Acronis global cloud infrastructure and oversee the adoption and integration of new technologies into Acronis cloud-enabled product lines.

Prior to joining Acronis, Mike spent 20 years building and managing successful hyper-growth and scalable technology enterprises, such as Go Daddy, NCS Pearson and Motorola. A licensed investment banker, and a former managing director of Bob Parson’s private equity firm YAM Capital, Mike has strong skills in preparing products to meet the market’s demand and understanding the financial requirements to provide complete products.

Before venturing into banking, Mike was Vice President of Technology and CTO of the technology business unit at GoDaddy.com, and was responsible for the company’s core internet presence products, global operations, and engineering team. Mike started his career with Motorola and NCS as a Senior Software Engineer, eventually becoming Chief Architect for NCS.

Mike holds a BS in Computer Science Degree from the University of Arizona and has 11 issued patents.

Gaidar Magdanurov

Gaidar is responsible for global consumer and small business, as well as leads online and OEM teams at Acronis. Before assuming the current role, supported CEO and executed strategic projects as a Business Manager to CEO.

Previously an investment director at a venture capital fund Runa Capital, Gaidar was responsible for seed-stage investments, advised and educated entrepreneurs, supported business development of portfolio companies and maintained relationships with startup incubators and accelerators.

Before Runa Capital, Gaidar served as Managing Director of Microsoft Seed Fund and as Local Software Economy Initiative Lead at Microsoft in Russia. Earlier he was a technical evangelist at Microsoft, worked as a software engineer and team lead in multiple software projects, and conducted scientific research at A.N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds.

Gaidar holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Higher Chemical College of Russian Academy of Sciences.

Ezequiel is the General Manager for the Access Business Unit and Head of Business Development at Acronis. Prior to joining Acronis in June 2013, Ezequiel served as Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chairman of the Board at Acumatica, Inc. From 2004 to 2009, Ezequiel served as Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development of SWsoft, today known as Parallels . Ezequiel led Parallels' business development efforts and was responsible for strategic alliances, technology partnerships, and acquisitions. He spent several years in sales management and business development positions at IBM, where he was awarded the IBM Role Model Award and was instrumental in the successful displacement of IBM competitors from major accounts. His career also includes having served as a Consultant of General Electric and assignments with Xerox and Direct SA.

Ezequiel holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Buenos Aires and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark is responsible for managing the global legal matters for the Company, including corporate governance, litigation, strategic matters and employment matters. He also manages the global contracts team that negotiates contracts matters in over 90 countries.

Prior to joining Acronis in 2010, Mark was a corporate associate in the business law department of Cooley LLP based in Boston, MA where he represented private equity and venture capital clients in a variety of transactions from mergers and acquisitions, financing and IP transactions. He started his legal career as a corporate associate at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge (now known as Locke & Lorde) based in Providence, RI, focused on private equity mergers and acquisitions and life science start ups.

Mark holds a J.D. from The University of Wisconsin Law School and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Vermont.
