"The Redmond Readers' Choice Awards truly capture the voice of the magazine's readers who happen to be our customers. We are thrilled to be recognized by these IT professionals as the best of the best for backup and recovery," said Lisa Robinson Schoeller, director, product marketing at Acronis. "Being honored so significantly is yet another indication that customers continue to rely on our product suite and the protection it offers for server and systems backup as well as disaster recovery."

Redmond readers voted Acronis® Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server as winner or preferred product across four categories, beating out dozens of other product choices. The solution was voted overall winner for "Best Disaster Recovery Product or Service," beating out 58 other solutions in the category. The product was also voted a preferred product in the "Best Server Migration Product," "Best Backup System," and "Best Storage Management Product" categories.

Among the virtualization categories, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server Virtual Edition was named winner for "Best Virtual Server Add-ons" beating out 13 products in the category. Acronis' suite of solutions was also named as preferred products across "Best Drive Imaging Product," and "Best Migration Product" categories with Acronis Disk Director® winning preferred product for its drive monitoring capabilities.

"For 2010, we've expanded our Readers' Choice awards to include more honors and winners than ever before," said Lee Pender, executive editor of Redmond magazine and editor of the Readers Choice Awards. "We've created a new category of award, the Five-Star Award, for products that have won categories five times in a row. And we've expanded our definition of category winner beyond outright winners to include ISV Winners, or products that finish as the highest-ranking non-Microsoft entries. By including ISV Winners in the Triple Crown, Grand Slam and Five-Star honors, Redmond is showing its continued commitment to recognizing the independent vendors that contribute so much to both Microsoft as a company and to Redmond as a publication."
