Security Products Magazine Recognizes Acronis Access for Success in Government Security

Acronis Access, the secure access, syncing and sharing solution for the enterprise, takes home mobile security app award

Arlington, VA, May 14, 2014-Security Products magazine announced Acronis® Access as its Govies Government Security Award Gold Winner for 2014 in the category of Mobile Security Apps at the annual GovSec Conference & Expo. Acronis Access is the first solution to comprehensively address enterprise-level needs for mobile file access, syncing and sharing, and contains military-grade encryption module and access card authentication.

The Govies, launched in 2009, honor outstanding government security products in a variety of categories. A panel of judges from the security industry selected the top entries and named the winners based upon Features, Innovation, User Friendliness, Interoperability, Quality, Design, Market Opportunity, Impact in the Security Industry, Technical Advances, and Scalability.

Acronis Access, which also won Network Computing's Mobility Product of the Year, empowers employees to work productively and securely from any device while accessing and sharing corporate data. It enables enterprise IT to provide their users with secure access, syncing and sharing of corporate content while maintaining control over security and compliance. Employees can access content from file servers, NAS, SharePoint®, and share it with internal and external constituents via any device - desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

It is especially beneficial for the government sector because it meets stringent regulatory standards with FIPS 140-2 certified encryption and enhanced authentication with support for smart cards (CAC/PIV) providing any organization with two-factor authentication.

The winning entries earn the opportunity to display their products in The Govies booth at the annual GovSec Conference & Expo, which will be held May 13-14 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

"We are very excited that Acronis Access is receiving the public recognition for improving productivity while ensuring complete control and security compliance that many clients, such as the USDA, have already witnessed," said Anders Lofgren, VP of Product Management for Acronis Mobility Business Unit. "Through this award, we hope that we can drive further awareness in how to properly protect data, while promoting productivity."

"Over the past few years we have encouraged manufacturers to enter The Govies so we can highlight products that secure government entities and staff," said Ralph C. Jensen, editor-in-chief of Security Products magazine. "We are very grateful to all entrants who take the time to share with us and our readers the latest security technologies."

In addition to being honored at GovSec, Acronis Access will be featured on the security industry leading website, security-today.com, and highlighted in a future issue of Security Products magazine. The magazine is distributed to more than 65,000 subscribers monthly as well as at trade events including GovSec.
