Acronis® True Image Echo Server for Linux

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do you schedule image creation?

As a rule, disk/partition images are created regularly, often daily. To automate this operation in the command line interface, you can use the cron service familiar to many UNIX users. The detailed information can be found in Acronis® True Image Echo Server for Linux user's guide (chapter 11.2 Automatic image creation using cron service).

Under X-Windows, you may use a more powerful 'Schedule Task' wizard, which allows you to not only create scheduled and backups, but also automatically suspend databases using pre/post backup commands, send notifications by e-mail, set backup priority etc.
