Acronis Joins IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program

March 27, 2007, Barcelona - Acronis SAS (www.acronis.com/es-mx/), a technological leader in storage management software, announced today that it has joined the IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program and that its enterprise-class Acronis True Image family supports IBM's Intel-based BladeCenter servers. Acronis has recently been certified as IBM ServerProven for its System x servers.

The Acronis True Image Enterprise Server software ensures the availability of data for IBM BladeCenter customers. Acronis True Image Enterprise Server is recognized as a leading commercial disk-imaging disaster recovery and bare-metal restore software product that can perform sector-based imaging as well as file and folder backup of entire servers. It also allows server administrators to perform a hardware-independent bare-metal restore for disaster recovery or in the event of a full systems failure.

"This alliance with IBM further expands the relationship between Acronis and IBM and provides BladeCenter customers with an exceptional disaster recovery solution that can protect mission-critical servers," said Zorian Rotenberg, Director of Business Development at Acronis. "IBM BladeCenter customers can take advantage of the Acronis True Image management components to better organize their disaster recovery plans and ensure that their BladeCenter servers are up and running in minutes, not hours, if a system failure occurs."

Acronis True Image Enterprise Server includes a number of components that offer great flexibility for corporate IT departments: Management Console, Backup Server, and Group Server. These components allow for complete management of all backup and restoration tasks including product installation, backup, recovery, optimization of storage resources, and a view of the status of remote systems throughout the network and increase the IT department's productivity while reducing costs. Based on the exclusive Acronis Drive Snapshot technology, Acronis True Image Enterprise Server creates a server disk backup image without interrupting server operations, providing 24 x 7 availability.

The IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program brings together a broad community of IT providers dedicated to helping customers of all sizes build better solutions with the IBM BladeCenter. The program benefits customers by reducing costs and accelerating the planning, deployment and delivery of blade solutions that simplify their IT infrastructure. IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program members include independent software and hardware vendors, system integrators and value-added resellers, all of whom are committed to growing their business on the BladeCenter.
