Installation notes

Please launch the downloaded build and follow installation instructions. In order to test synchronization functionality you will need to install Acronis True Image Home 2012 on several computers or virtual machines. The application can contain many undiscovered and not fixed issues. We do not recommend that you perform testing in your production environments.

Please also be advised that Acronis True Image Home 2012 requires activation. Activation is a mandatory process that associates your product installation with the PC or laptop on which it’s installed. Activation helps to prevent unauthorized use of your software license by a third-party and protects Customers against any other kind of risks.

Fixed issues

This new build is dedicated to fixes in functionality related to our Online Storages:

• Acronis True Image Online
• Version History in File Synchronization

We’d like to learn about your experience with our updated Online Storage services. Please go through the scenarios below and share your feedback via Acronis True Image Home 2012 Beta Forum:

Online Backup scenarios:

• Create file backup to Online storage
• Edit existing online backup
• Recover your files from online storage
• Use version history to recover previous file versions

File Synchronization scenarios:

• Synchronizing different computers within a local network
• Synchronizing different computers over the internet
• Synchronizing folders on a single machine (e.g. syncing MyDocuments folder with USB stick, network share, etc)

Sharing your experience with any other product features is also greatly appreciated.

In addition to this we fixed some known issues from the previous build:

File synchronization:

• Cancel button is missing on a synchronization plate when a progress bar is shown (ATIHIIOXII-4047)

Backup and Restore:

• It is impossible to recover an image backup if one of its versions is located on a network share (ATIHIIOXII-2442)
• Acronis True Image Home 2012 fails to access the archive located at mapped drive by "browse for backup" operation (ATIHIIOXII-1774)

Nonstop Backup

• There may be issues when trying to store a Nonstop Backup to a password-protected share, error "The specified path does not exist. Enter the correct path" (ATIHIIOXII-4040)
