How to uninstall Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server from Windows

Introduction

This article refers to:

  • Windows 2000
  • Windows 2000 Server
  • Windows Server 2003
  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista

Solution

To uninstall the product manually, you will need to remove from the system(s) both Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server Management Console and Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server Agent.

Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server Agent

  1. Remove Windows Installer configuration (see Windows Installer CleanUp Utility)

  2. Unregister Acronis Scheduler service (see Unregistering Acronis Scheduler Service)

  3. Open Windows Registry Editor (press Win-R and issue "regedit" command) and delete the following registry keys:

    Windows 32 bit:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis

    Windows 64 bit:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Acronis
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\Acronis

  4. Delete the following folders:

    • \Program Files\Acronis folder
    • \Program Files\Common Files\Acronis folder
    • \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis folder

  5. Delete shortcuts from Desktop and Start menu

  6. Reboot the computer

Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server Management Console

  4. Delete shortcuts from Desktop and Start menu

  5. Reboot the computer
