PTG Software and Acronis Announce Broad Distribution Agreement

Agreement Expands Acronis System Software into Top Retail Distribution Channel

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — April 29, 2002 — PTG Software, a division of Pearson Technology Group (NYSE: PSO), announces an exclusive North American distribution agreement with Acronis, the technological leader in system software development. PTG Software will facilitate the distribution of the Acronis line of PC system tools and utility products to its major retail customers.

Under the terms of the agreement, PTG will provide Acronis distribution into all leading retail channels and outlets. PTG and Acronis will also work together to expand Acronis' PC system tools and utility product line.

In April, PTG will deliver two award-winning Acronis titles to its retail customers — Acronis OS Selector 5.0 Deluxe and Acronis Migrate Easy Deluxe.

Acronis OS Selector 5.0 Deluxe (www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/osselector/) is a popular multi-operating system hard disk drive partitioner and boot manager. The versatile software allows PC users to run multiple operating system environments on a single PC, including Windows®, Linux®, and Sun Solaris® among others. It also allows PC users to edit and resize NTFS, NTFS5, FAT16, FAT32, Ext2Fs, Ext3Fs and ReiserFS files systems — functionality found exclusively in Acronis OS Selector 5.0.

Acronis Migrate Easy Deluxe (www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/migrateeasy/) is a hard disk drive upgrading program that allows PC users to effortlessly migrate existing system data to a new hard drive in minutes, while retaining their operating systems and all data. Acronis Migrate Easy Deluxe supports all PC operating systems.

PTG Software also plans to distribute additional Acronis titles in the coming months, including Acronis TrueImage Deluxe, a leading hard disk drive imaging solution, Acronis PrivacyExpert, a comprehensive Internet, hard drive and system data removal solution, and Acronis PowerUtilities, a 'greatest hits' compilation of award-winning Acronis system utilities.
