PC Magazine awards Acronis with two Editors' Choice Awards

Acronis True Image, Acronis Privacy Expert honored for usability, functionality, speed and value

June 7, 2004, South San Francisco, CA — Acronis, Inc., the technological leader in storage management software, announced that PC Magazine awarded it Editors' Choice Awards for Acronis True Image 7.0 and Acronis Privacy Expert 7.0 in the magazine's 12^th Annual Utility Guide. Acronis True Image was doubly honored as it also earned the magazine's 5 Star Rating. This is the second year in a row Acronis True Image has won the Editors' Choice and 5 Star Rating.

Also earning accolades in the issue was Acronis Partition Expert 2003, which was recognized in the disk partitioning category for the second year running.

"Earning consecutive PC Magazine Editor Choice Awards and Five Star Rating for Acronis True Image is a significant honor and underscores Acronis' goal to make the most functional and high-quality software backup software," said Acronis CEO Max Tsypliaev. "Apparently, the magazine's editors agree."

"Acronis True Image 7.0 offers an innovative interface and powerful features," said PC Magazine Technical Analyst Omar Citron's review. "Its menu-driven wizards are easy to follow, and its help topics explain common tasks in detail." Additionally, the review noted: "This release of Acronis True Image includes incremental backups, which sets it apart from the other drive imaging products in this roundup; this procedure eliminates the need to regenerate an entire archive each time you need a new image." The Five Star Rating is the highest bestowed by PC Magazine.

"The Editors' Choice for Acronis Privacy Expert Suite recognizes the growing requirement for personal privacy tools," Tsypliaev added. "As computers become ubiquitous, the data they contain becomes more at risk. Keeping your private data private is our primary objective with this suite."

Ease of use and functionality were highlighted in PC Magazine Lead Analyst Neil Rubenking's review of Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 7.0. According to the review, "... we found (Acronis Privacy Expert Suite) to be swift and effective." The review also recognized "The colorful Windows XP-style main screen puts all features at your fingertips." Acronis Privacy Expert Suite received an overall grade of four stars from the magazine.
