PC Magazine names Acronis Privacy Expert Suite its Editors' Choice

Acronis Disk Director Suite also honored with 4.5 stars out of 5

May 24, 2005, South San Francisco, CA — Acronis, Inc., the technological leader in storage management software, announced that Acronis Privacy Expert Suite has been named a PC Magazine Editors' Choice for the second year in a row. Also winning accolades was Acronis Disk Director Suite. Both products were awarded the second-highest rating available from the magazine — 4.5 Stars out of 5. The results were published in the magazine's annual Best Utilities issue, published in the May 24, 2005 issue.

The award follows the honoring of Acronis True Image 8.0 with an Editors' Choice award in February. That was the third such honor for the Acronis True Image, giving Acronis five PC Magazine Editors' Choice awards in the past two years.

"Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 8.0 is everything you could want in a trace remover, and more," said PC Magazine. "The slick (Acronis) Drive Cleanser module can reboot into a Linux variant and wipe an entire drive or a single partition using your choice of overwrite algorithms. The help system consists of a manual in PDF form, but you really don't need much assistance."

PC Magazine also was impressed with Acronis Disk Director Suite. "With features that will please ordinary users and experts alike, Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 offers a well-thought-out set of tools for partitioning and maintaining hard drives. This minisuite bundles enough chops for basic and advanced partitioning tasks, and it provides more options in case of real data emergencies," the magazine stated.
