Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) has once again earned the highest possible score in AV-TEST’s business Windows endpoint protection evaluation, achieving 18 out of 18 points in the May–June 2026 test. The latest result also extends a consistent record in AV-TEST’s business Windows evaluations. Acronis achieved the same 18/18 result in the February and April 2026 tests, making the May–June evaluation its third consecutive perfect overall score in 2026.

AV-TEST evaluated 16 endpoint protection products during May and June using Windows 11 Professional. According to the institute, products were tested using vendor-provided settings and the latest publicly available versions, with access to product updates and cloud services throughout the evaluation. AV-TEST focused on realistic scenarios and current threats and required products to demonstrate their capabilities using all available components and protection layers.
With 6 points available in each of the three categories, 18 points is the highest possible overall result. AV-TEST also awards its “Top Product” designation to products scoring at least 17.5 points, meaning Acronis’ 18/18 result exceeded the required threshold with the maximum possible score.
Strong protection against real-world threats
The Protection category evaluates how effectively endpoint security products defend against malware infections. AV-TEST assesses both zero-day threats delivered through channels such as malicious websites and email, and widespread malware discovered during the previous four weeks.
For the zero-day real-world protection test, AV-TEST used 224 samples. Acronis recorded 100% protection in May and 99.3% in June, compared with an industry average of 99.9%. In the test against widespread and prevalent malware, AV-TEST used 11,772 samples. Acronis achieved 99.9% detection in May and 100% in June, with the industry average at 100%. These results earned Acronis the full 6 out of 6 points for Protection.
For businesses and service providers, the Protection result provides an independent measurement of how Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) performs against both newly emerging attacks and large collections of prevalent malware. The evaluation also reflects layered protection rather than testing a single detection technology in isolation: AV-TEST specifically requires participating products to demonstrate their capabilities using their available components and protection layers.
Security with low impact on everyday work
Endpoint protection must provide strong security without creating unnecessary performance problems for users. AV-TEST’s Performance category measures the impact of security software on common activities including opening popular websites, downloading applications, launching standard software, installing applications and copying files locally and across a network. Acronis earned the maximum 6 out of 6 points for Performance.
The detailed results show strong performance across both standard and high-end PCs. When launching popular websites, AV-TEST measured a 10% slowdown for Acronis on a standard PC, compared with an 11% industry average, and 7% on a high-end PC, matching the 7% industry average. Downloading frequently used applications produced 0% slowdown for Acronis on both system types, also matching the industry average.
When launching standard software applications, Acronis recorded a 10% slowdown on a standard PC compared with the 12% industry average, and 3% on a high-end PC compared with the 5% industry average. During installation of frequently used applications, Acronis recorded 23% on a standard PC versus the 24% industry average.
File-copying performance was also strong. AV-TEST recorded a 1% slowdown for Acronis on both standard and high-end PCs, compared with industry averages of 5% and 4%, respectively. Across the ten standard-PC and high-end-PC comparisons represented by AV-TEST’s five performance activities, Acronis therefore matched or performed better than the industry average in nine, with high-end application installation being the single exception.
These measurements explain why the overall Performance result matters. Endpoint security operates continuously, so even relatively small performance effects can become visible across large numbers of users and devices. The maximum AV-TEST Performance score provides an independent indication that Acronis delivered its protection while maintaining strong results across the everyday activities included in the test.
Maximum usability score with limited disruption
AV-TEST’s Usability category looks at another important aspect of endpoint protection: whether security software incorrectly warns about, detects or blocks legitimate activity. Lower numbers indicate better results because false positives can interrupt users and create unnecessary investigation work for IT teams.
Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) earned the full 6 out of 6 Usability points. In AV-TEST’s website test, which used 500 samples, Acronis recorded zero false warnings or blockages in both May and June. AV-TEST also recorded zero false warnings and zero false blockages in the measured scenarios involving the installation and use of legitimate software.
AV-TEST separately tested false malware detections during system scans using 1,240,424 legitimate software samples. Acronis recorded zero false detections in May and four in June. Despite those four detections, the complete Usability evaluation resulted in the maximum 6/6 category score under AV-TEST’s methodology.
For IT teams and managed service providers, this dimension is important because effective endpoint security must balance protection with operational usability. False warnings and unnecessary blocking can generate additional tickets and investigations, while excessive intervention can interfere with employees’ work. In this evaluation, Acronis achieved AV-TEST’s maximum Usability rating while recording no false website warnings or blockages and no false warnings or blockages in the measured legitimate-software activities.
Three consecutive perfect results in 2026
The May–June result is especially significant when viewed alongside Acronis’ previous AV-TEST business Windows evaluations.
AV-TEST’s evaluations history shows Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) receiving 6/6 for Protection, 6/6 for Performance and 6/6 for Usability in February 2026. The March–April evaluation produced the same 18/18 result, and the latest May–June test has now repeated it for a third consecutive evaluation in all cases awarding Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) with Top Product title.
Consistency matters in independent security testing because the threat samples, product versions and detailed test conditions change between evaluations. A single maximum score provides a strong result for one testing period; repeating that result across successive evaluations provides additional evidence of stable performance under AV-TEST’s evolving test sets. AV-TEST’s published Acronis history confirms that the February, April and June 2026 business Windows results all reached the maximum 18 points.
