Acronis Marks One Year in Singapore Headquarters, Celebrates Achievements

Singapore, 18 September 2015 - Acronis®, a global leader in new generation data protection is proud to celebrate the first anniversary of its international headquarters in Singapore and the company's achievements in the last twelve months.

Acronis moved its international headquarters to Singapore in September last year as a part of its strategic plan to refocus on the rapidly growing Asian market and demonstrate the company's commitment to be a part of Singapore's Smart Nation program by creating job opportunities and developing robust data security infrastructure.

It was also about returning to its roots. Acronis was founded in Singapore in 2003 and quickly became a recognized data protection brand in over 145 countries around the world. Over 5 million consumers and 500,000 businesses now trust Acronis products to backup data, restore servers, create archives and share sensitive data securely across continents.

Powered by the AnyData engine, Acronis data protection products are among the most robust, flexible and user-friendly on the market, allowing customers to backup and restore their data any time and in any location, irrespective of the type and make of the virtual or physical environment.

Deployment of Acronis cloud and opening datacenters in multiple locations around the world extended the functionality of Acronis products and enabled customers to comply with the local data security and data retention regulatory requirements.

Here are some highlights and achievements of the last 12 months:

• Opening of an R&D facility in Singapore in partnership with EDB with a planned investment of over S$55 million over five years.

• Datacenter expansion in December 2014. Acronis cloud footprint now spreads across Germany, Japan, United States, France, Australia, Russia, and Singapore datacenters.

• New partnerships with leading distributors in the region, including Tech Titan in China and NTS Group in Vietnam.

• Release of Acronis Access 7. The product delivers a secure mobile data access, sync and share functionality for small to midsize businesses (SMBs) and larger enterprises.

• Receiving a place in the top 20 of the world's most attractive cloud providers by CRN in January 2015 following the acquisition of nScaled and introduction of Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) product range to Acronis cloud data protection offerings.

• In April 2015, Acronis was included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for DRaaS, and positioned the highest among the challengers on ability to execute.

• Release of a new version of Acronis' flagship consumer backup product in Singapore - Acronis True Image 2016 and Acronis True Image Cloud. In August alone the sales of this product grew by 51.4 percent.
