System Requirements

These are the minimum system requirements for MassTransit.

The recommended system requirements for a particular MassTransit implementation can vary significantly. It is strongly recommended that you consult the MassTransit team before purchasing or upgrading a system to run MassTransit. Using their expertise, the team can evaluate your specific needs and advise you on the optimal system configuration for your system.

Windows

Acronis MassTransit Server

• CPU: Intel or AMD processor. At least two cores or processors with minimum speed of 2GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent.
• Windows Server 2008 (32-bit or 64-bit, including R2), Windows Server 2012 (including R2), or Windows Server 2016.
• MySQL 5.0.78 required, MySQL 5.1 recommended.
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
• 4 GB RAM, minimum.
• Disk subsystem: Fast disk drives with access time below 16 ms recommended. RAID 5 recommended to provide redundancy in mission critical operations.
• Web Server: IIS 7.0 or later supported.
• For MTWeb support: PHP 5.6 required, PHP 7.2 recommended.

Acronis MassTransit Administrator

• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
• CPU: Intel or AMD processor. At least two cores or processors with a minimum speed of 2GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent.
• Windows Server 2008 (32-bit or 64-bit, including R2), Windows Server 2012 (including R2), Windows Server 2016, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.

Acronis MassTransit Web client

• CPU: Intel or AMD processor. Minimum recommended speed is 2GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent.
• Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.
• Supported web browsers: Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, and 11 (32-bit mode only); Firefox 48 or later; Chrome 29 or later.
• Supported web browsers with HTTP file transfer only: Internet Explorter 8 or later 64-bit, Microsoft Edge 25 or later.

macOS

• Any Mac with a G4, G5, or Intel CPU.
• Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6, 10.7; OS X 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11; macOS 10.12, or 10.13.
• Supported web browsers: Safari 5 or later, Firefox 48 or later, Chrome 29 or later.

Linux

Supported web browsers with HTTP file transfer only: Chrome, Firefox, Opera.

Running MassTransit in virtualized environments

MassTransit is certified to run in VMware virtualization environments on Windows. System requirements for the virtualized environment in which MassTransit runs are unchanged.

The MassTransit installer will also install MySQL 5.1.52. MySQL 5.1.65 is supported and available as a separate installer at MassTransit Latest Releases web page.

Important notice for older versions

MassTransit 7.7 and later no longer support MassTransit 1.x, MassTransit 2.x, MassTransit 3.x, MassTransit 4.x, MassTransit 5.x, or Adobe Virtual Network 1.x. Customers using these products need to migrate to newer versions of MassTransit, in order to transfer files to Acronis MassTransit 7.7 locations. Note that this only affects certain communication methods—primarily TCP/IP.

MassTransit 7.6 is the last version that supports Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

MassTransit has discontinued support for Windows 2000 and 2003.
