Acronis recruits channel manager to propel growth across Benelux

New hire to double size of operations and ramp up number of resellers

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, 25 November 2008 - Acronis has appointed Dirk Raeymaekers as channel manager for Benelux to help accelerate the vendor's reseller acquisition and double the size of operations across the region. Raeymaekers will spearhead the company's aggressive growth plans, aiming to double the head count based in the Benelux office in the next three months. He is actively recruiting resellers and is also looking to appoint both pre-sales and post-sales support managers to aid the channel.

"Our channel partners will be vital to the success of Acronis across Benelux. We're aiming to put them first and we'll be introducing a lot of initiatives and tools to support them over the coming months," explains Raeymaekers. Raeymaekers joins the backup, recovery and migration vendor from Fujitsu Siemens Computers where he was responsible for recruiting and developing partners through business development initiatives and channel marketing. Prior to this, he held various positions at Tech Data.

"I'm joining the company at an exciting time. As well as offering proven support for customers' backup, recovery and migration strategies through our disk imaging solutions, we're branching out into new areas of expertise. For example, we've recently broken into the virtualisation arena and our latest product launch now gives us the capability to offer customers backup and recovery support for their Exchange databases," he continued.

Raeymaekers will be working under Laurent Dedenis, VP international sales and managing director at Acronis. "We established our Benelux operations in January 2007 and have already achieved solid success in the region. As a rapidly growing company it's critical that we have the right people in place to boost our results. Dirk brings over 18 years' experience in the IT market to the role and I'm confident he is the right ingredient to help us reach the next level in this important market."
