VMworld Europe: Backup and Recovery for VMware from Acronis

Demonstrations of Acronis® vmProtectTM 6 on stand #41

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, 13 October, 2011 - Acronis, a leading provider of easy-to-use disaster recovery and data protection solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments, will be demonstrating its latest product, Acronis® vmProtectTM 6 at this year's VMworld® Europe 2011 (18-20 October) on stand #41.

The product is a fast and simple to use backup and disaster recovery solution for VMware® customers. Acronis vmProtect 6 can be installed as a virtual appliance, eliminating the need to purchase any additional hardware and minimising memory consumption and management overhead. The backup process itself also becomes a quick and easy task. A web-based interface allows remote management, even on a smartphone, simplifying management and reporting tasks.

  • The product is optimised for VMware environments, is easy to install and provides unlimited P2V migrations, plus cloud integration.
  • The solution will be demonstrated on the Acronis stand #41. To book an appointment please register here.
  • Acronis also has a speaker slot on Tuesday at 1.30pm, Hall B5-M2. Seth Goodling, Virtualisation Practice Manager at Acronis will be presenting on Virtualisation Benefits and Challenges for the Small to Medium Business ("SMB").

"VMware events being held around the globe this year are of key strategic importance to our business. Virtualisation migration and backup for the SMB market is our number one focus right now. As we look to the future, the ability to recover in the cloud instantaneously, automatically and on demand will be critical. It will take time for SMBs to move entire production workloads into the cloud, but it will happen once complicated network factors are addressed. Virtualisation is the first step in this evolution," explains Laurent Dedenis, President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Acronis.
