If your brand new computer was bundled with a backup of the computer's factory configuration, True Image 2013 can recover this backup and restore the computer to its factory settings. The system will be reverted to the state it was in when the computer was received from the store.
Caution: Restoration will erase all personal data and programs on the computer including all your backups in Acronis Secure Zone.
How to check if factory configuration can be restored on your computer
True Image 2013 offers three ways to restore a computer to factory settings:
Recovery of the original configuration under Windows or by using Acronis Startup Recovery Manager is possible if the computer has an Acronis Secure Zone that has a backup of the computer's factory configuration. This backup is normally created and provided to Acronis Secure Zone by a hardware supplier who delivers computers to end-users.
When recovery is from factory bootable media, the media includes a backup with factory image configuration.
Restoring factory settings under Windows
In Windows, the factory configuration is restored by using the standard recovery feature of True Image 2013.
To restore the computer to factory settings:
The operation will continue after the computer restart. Once the operation is complete, the computer will load the original Windows installation.
