Build 69February 1, 2021

Version 1.1

Platform version: Acronis Cyber Cloud 9.0

What's new

This release includes:

  • New Permission management: we are introducing three roles for the extension that are based on existing permissions. It is not necessary to create new roles for this, as the permissions are already commonly used to define access in ScreenConnect:
    • Admin: has full access to all functionalities of the extension; needs to have Administer global permissions.
    • Technician: has full access to the extension, except for the Extension settings and Partner tenant Acronis dashboard link in the left-hand menu. These users do have access to the Acronis Console for each Customer tenant. Technicians should have at least Editsessions permission.
    • View-only: can only view data, but not interact with the integration and needs to have at least ViewSessionGroup permission, but not Editsessions or Administer global permissions.
  • Much improved feedback during agent deploy. The deployment process now has three steps: set up, download and install. Each of these steps is clearly marked and shows percentage-done to provide better feedback during installation.
  • Much improved support for Cyber Protect. Includes more and better details in the Info tab and a better flow to apply protection plans. The device status in the Info tab now shows backup status, last backup and next backup, as well as non-backup statuses such as last and next anti-virus scan.
  • A free trial link to ConnectWise Marketplace. It is intended for MSPs who use ScreenConnect, but do not have an Acronis account yet. All you have to do is to install the integration from the Extension Marketplace and go to Admin > Extensions > Acronis extension > Cyber Protection Settings. In the modal window that opens, you'll see the following clickable text: "Don't have an Acronis account? Get a free trial here."

Fixed issues

  • CI-6451 Acronis Cyber Protect new Windows agent support
  • CI-6470 Add permission management
  • CI-6809 Improve Support Cyber Protect plans
