Porto Seguro — one of Brazil's largest insurance groups, with around 10 million clients, over 13,000 employees, and an annual revenue of $5.1 billion — has fallen victim to a ransomware attack.

The creators of the notorious TrickBot malware have signed two new affiliates, a sure sign that we can expect to observe more attacks using this ransomware in the near future. Microsoft estimates that TrickBot has already infected over 3 million devices.

Last month, we shared the news with you about Pacific City Bank being ransomed. Since then, the bank has publicly disclosed the attack.
