In March 2024, Acronis reported our excellent results in independent evaluations conducted by leading security testing institute AV-Test for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with Advanced Security for the macOS operating system. Today, we are delighted to report that it was named the best of all tested products in 2023.
Throughout 2023, AV-Test examined and evaluated security products at regular intervals to analyze the Protection (protective function), Performance (speed), and Usability (user-friendliness) of products for different operating systems, including macOS, which is currently reported to have around 20% of global market share. All products that meet AV-TEST’s high criteria are awarded a certificate for evaluation of security against IT threats. At the end of 2023, all the values recorded and labels awarded were combined to determine the winners of the AV-TEST Awards.
Best macOS Security goes to Acronis
The number of threats facing macOS systems is continuing to increase with no sign of slowing down. According to AV-TEST, they have already registered nearly one million samples of specialized Mac malware.
In the series of tests conducted in 2023, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud demonstrated maximum protection and reliability. The product was evaluated in all four tests in 2023 and received a perfect score in all four. In recognition of this consistently high performance, top protection and usability, AV-TEST honored Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with the Best macOS Security Award for Corporate Users.
