It’s always great to get positive coverage by a big-name analyst firm so, needless to say, we were thrilled and humbled to see a report IDC just published about Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. Co-authored by Phil Goodwin and Robyn Westervelt, the report covers two key things we would like to highlight here:

Validation for the cyber protection approach

This IDC report offers clear validation of Acronis’ long-held position that the industry needs to evolve from traditional data protection and cybersecurity technologies toward a modern, integrated cyber protection approach:

“Data protection and data security are no longer separate disciplines or tasks for IT organizations. IT leaders are now approaching data protection and security in a holistic manner and vendors are responding with integrated platforms to offer both better cyberattack prevention and faster recovery in the event of a successful attack. These solutions must be equally adaptable to the cloud and on-premises infrastructure.”

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud analyst review

In addition, this report from IDC offers a flattering early review of the key capabilities of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud:

“Acronis is among the companies on the forefront for integrated data protection and cyber protection. We believe that Acronis Cyber Protect is among the most comprehensive attempts to provide data protection and cyber security to date. … Acronis shows potential to disrupt traditional IT security vendors by delivering integrated components for backup/recovery and malware detection and protection.”
