Acronis Presents Acronis True Image Home 2011 For Netbooks

Focus on simplified management and optimized Windows® 7 support

Woburn, Mass., October 19, 2010 Acronis, a leading provider of easy-to-use backup, recovery, and security solutions for physical, virtual, and cloud environments, today announced the launch of its new backup and recovery software for netbooks, Acronis® True Image™ Home 2011 Netbook Edition. With optimized design for netbooks including screen size and hardware configuration, Acronis True Image Home 2011 Netbook Edition also comes with new functions, simplified handling and enhanced Windows 7 Support.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 Netbook Edition delivers the flexibility of where and how often to backup the entire system or single files on a netbook. From its seamless integration into Windows 7, backups can be managed and carried out more easily to any attached device. Additionally, both advanced users and novices will find easy-to-use functionality to store their critical data online using the optional Acronis Online Backup service.

Key features include:

  • New graphical user interface: with wizards and “One-Click” configurations
  • Enhanced Windows-7-Support: Backup and restore processes can be started from the control panel and users can launch backups from the Windows taskbar
  • Enhanced Time Explorer: Users can add comments to any backup and take advantage of Time Explorer screenshots
  • New drag-and-drop-functionality: Run a task or a backup without starting up the program
  • USB 3.0 support: For motherboards that work with USB 3.0 disk drives, users can take advantage of the high data transfer speed offered by the new standard to make backups run much faster.
  • Integrated Online Backup services: Optional, easy-to-use services provide off-site system and data protection

Acronis True Image Home 2011 Netbook Edition supports Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP Home and XP Professional operating systems and requires a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600.
