Parameters set through Windows registry

The following parameter enables or disables cataloging on a machine with Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Storage Node or Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Management Server. The parameter is useful when updating or loading the data catalog on a storage node or a management server takes a long time.

The parameter is a string value that should be manually added to the corresponding Catalog key in the registry. If this parameter is missing in the registry, cataloging is enabled on the machine.

Enabled

Possible values: 0 (disables cataloging) or 1 (enables cataloging)

Registry key:

For a storage node: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\ASN\Configuration\Catalog\Enabled

For a management server: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\AMS\Configuration\Catalog\Enabled

If cataloging is disabled on a storage node, the backups in vaults managed by the storage node will not be cataloged. Thus, the backed up data will not be available in the Data view and Data catalog.

If cataloging is disabled on a management server, the backups in unmanaged vaults will not be cataloged by the management server. Also, the Data catalog and Data view (for any vault) will not be displayed.
