A mobile backup is your guarantee that data on your mobile device is safe and can be recovered in case of corruption or loss. You can also use the backup to transfer your personal data from your old smartphone to a new one. Refer to Acronis Mobile for details.
To back up your mobile data to an NAS:
Make sure that your mobile device and your NAS are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
On a computer or mobile device, use a web browser to open the NAS interface. You may need to enter your credentials to access it.
A QR code will be displayed. Please do not close this window.
On your mobile device:
Start Acronis Mobile.
Tap the plus icon to create a backup. Note that this step does not occur the first time you back up your mobile device.
Select NAS as a backup destination.
Tap Scan QR code, point your camera at the QR code on the computer screen, and then wait until the mobile device is connected to the NAS.
Select the data categories that you want to back up, or tap Confirm if you want to back up all of them.
Allow Acronis Mobile to access to your personal data.
[optional step] Tap Use encryption to encrypt the backup and protect it with a password. Otherwise, tap Skip.
Tap Start Backup.
When the backup is started, you can track the progress on the mobile device.
When the backup is complete, your data is uploaded to your NAS. If you want data changes (for example, new photographs) to be backed up automatically, make sure the Continuous backup setting is turned on. If this setting is turned off, the new data is backed up only when you tap Back up. Refer to Mobile app settings for details.
