Identity protection

Identity protection is currently available only for the Advanced and Premium licenses. For a list of countries where this feature is supported, see the Support Portal article.

Identity protection is a set of measures to prevent cybercriminals from stealing your personal information. The following information is monitored:

  • Essentials like the national ID number, passports, driver's license, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and credentials
  • Financial information about cards and bank accounts
  • Insurance documents, like health and vehicle insurance

This information can be leaked as a result of a data breach, phishing, or a malware attack. Identity protection helps you detect the data exposure and any suspicious activity related to your information. In a dedicated Identity protection dashboard, you can do the following:

  • Add and update your personal information to be monitored
  • Monitor the safety of your data
  • Configure alerts about data exposure
  • Request assistance in case of identity data theft. You can also contact the Support team via support@info.idprotectiononline.com.
  • Get reimbursement in case of identity data theft

To configure Identity protection for the first time

  1. In the left sidebar of Acronis True Image, click Protection.

  2. Under Identity protection, click Manage protection. Online Dashboard opens in the browser.

  3. Sign in to Online Dashboard.

  4. On the Identity protection tab, click Manage protection.

  5. In the Enter your identity data window, enter your personal information.

    Ensure that the information is complete and accurate. Otherwise, you might not be notified when your actual identity data is compromised.

  6. Once you have entered the data, we start running regular checks of its safety.

    The Identity protection dashboard opens in your browser.

To open Identity protection dashboard from Acronis True Image

  1. In the left sidebar of Acronis True Image, click Protection.
  2. Under Identity protection, click Manage protection.

    Online Dashboard opens in the browser.

  3. Sign in to Online Dashboard.

  4. On the Identity protection tab, click Manage protection.

    The Identity protection dashboard opens in the browser.

To open Identity protection dashboard from Online Dashboard

  1. Open Online Dashboard at https://cloud.acronis.com.

    Online Dashboard is a unified cross-platform solution that allows you to track and control the protection status of all computers, smartphones, and tablets registered for the same account. To track and control the protection status of the devices in your account, use Online Dashboard:

    • Control the current statuses of all backups on all devices running Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
    • Add a new device to the list.
    • Manually start any backup on any computer.
    • Create new backups of any type (entire machine, file-level, disk-level) on PCs and Macs.
    • Change settings of existing backups.
    • Recover data from any backup located in Acronis Cloud, including backups from PCs, Macs, and devices running iOS and Android.
    • Resolve some product-related issues.

  2. In the left sidebar of Online Dashboard, click Protection > Identity protection.
  3. On the Identity protection tab, click Manage protection.
