Troubleshooting activation issues

Too many activations

This error appears when you've reached the maximum number of computers allowed under your subscription. This can occur after reinstalling the operating system, upgrading hardware, or moving Acronis True Image to a new computer.

To continue using the product, deactivate the subscription on a computer you no longer use.

To deactivate the subscription from an unused computer

  1. Open Acronis True Image.
  2. Select the Account tab.
  3. Click Resolve problem next to the activation alert.
  4. Click Manage in the WORKSTATION section of your subscription.
  5. Click Deactivate next to the computer you no longer use.
  6. Restart Acronis True Image to apply the changes.
If no computers can be deactivated and you need to add another one, select the Account tab and click Upgrade to add more workloads to your subscription.

Other common activation problems

Ensure your computer is connected to the internet and that you're signed in with the correct Acronis account. If the issue persists, contact Acronis Support.
