Security Settings Management Tasks
Managing online (regular) Security Settings for protocols involves the following tasks:
Defining and changing Security Settings
Undefining Security Settings
 
Note: You can define different online vs. offline Security Settings for the same user or sets of users. Online Security Settings (Regular Profile) apply to client computers that are working online. Offline Security Settings (Offline Profile) apply to client computers that are working offline. By default, DeviceLock works in offline mode when the network cable is not connected to the client computer. For detailed information on DeviceLock offline policies, see DeviceLock Security Policies (Offline Profile). Online Security Settings for protocols can have one of the following states:
Not Configured - Indicates that Security Settings are not defined for protocols.
Enabled - Indicates that Security Settings are enabled for protocols.
Disabled - Indicates that Security Settings are disabled for protocols.
