Fixed issues

  • Log in to the account fails if the computer lacks the respective SSL certificate.
  • Acronis Active Protection does not turn on if its configuration file is damaged.

Known issues and limitations of this version

  • Acronis True Image 2020 introduces a new technology for disk-level backup. The technology is still being improved, so you might encounter the following limitations:
    • TI-169821 Backup conversion to VHD format is not present for the new backup format, *.tibx.
    • TI-171553 Moving backups by using the Acronis True Image console is not available for the new backup format, *.tibx.
    • TI-169548 Renaming local backups is not supported for the new backup format, *.tibx.
    • TI-172340 The backup mounting option is not supported for the new backup format, *.tibx.
  • TI-172086 After the second launch of a local disk backup with the "Version chain" scheme, Acronis True Image creates a differential backup instead of a full backup.

  • A CPU that supports SSE instructions

Operating systems:

  • Windows 10 (all editions, including November 2019 Update, except for Windows IoT editions) supported only for disk or partition backup/recovery operations.
  • Windows 8.1 (except for Windows Embedded editions)
  • Windows 8 (except for Windows Embedded editions)
  • Windows 7 SP1 (all editions)
  • Windows Home Server 2011

It is possible for the software to work on other Windows operating systems, but it is not guaranteed.

  • NTFS
  • Ext2/Ext3/Ext4
  • ReiserFS(3) supported only for disk or partition backup/recovery operations.
  • Linux SWAP supported only for disk or partition backup/recovery operations.
  • HFS+**/HFSX disk or partition recovery operation only (without resize).
  • FAT16/32/exFAT* disk or partition recovery operation only (without resize).

Storage media:

  • Internal hard disk drives
  • External hard disk drives with any of the following interfaces: USB (including USB 3.0), eSATA, FireWire (IEEE-1394), and SCSI
  • Solid State Drives (SSD)
  • Networked storage devices

Known issues and limitations of this version

  • TI-172482 An incorrect status of OK is displayed for Paused backups in the Family Dashboard.
  • TI-169678 Replication is not supported in the Touch bar.
  • TI-167900 "Replicating... less than 1 minute" is displayed in the Replica tab, but replication lasts longer than one minute.
  • TI-147647 Cloning fails with the error "Cannot create APFS container" if a disk with two or more APFS containers is being cloned.
  • TI-50437 Exclude by mask does not exclude files with UTF symbols in the file name.
