This update of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud integration for AppDirect Marketplace enables service providers to sell Acronis Advanced packs as add-ons with metered usage.

What's new

It is now possible to sell Acronis Advanced packs as add-ons to Acronis Standard protection products in the AppDirect marketplace, using the PAYG model. To do this, you need to configure metered usage billing for the related packs.

This update of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud integration for AppDirect Marketplace enables service providers to import existing Acronis customers into the AppDirect integration.

What's new

  • Importing existing Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud customer tenants

    It is now possible for service providers to import existing Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud customer tenants into the AppDirect integration. Before the import, customer tenants should be moved under the provider's tenant, controlled by AppDirect. To import a customer tenant, the customer's Acronis user login should be specified during order placement. There is also an option to perform usage check during the import. When enabled, the integration module will display a warning, if the actual usage exceeds the quotas, configured for Acronis products in AppDirect.

  • Ability to choose login format

    Service providers can now decide which login format to be used for users, created in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud via the AppDirect integration.
    Two possible options are supported: generated logins or AppDirect user's email. We recommend using emails, if SSO from AppDirect to Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is enabled, and generated logins - in the opposite case.

Version 1.4

This update of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud integration for AppDirect Marketplace delivers support of additional integration scenarios and addresses some limitations found in previous releases.

What's new

  • Multiple products support. Customers are allowed to buy multiple Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud products. Each product must be ordered under a different AppDirect user. Each product will be also provisioned as a separate Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud tenant.
  • Multiple datacenter support. It’s possible to provision the same Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud product to different Acronis datacenters. Each datacenter will be selected based on the customer’s country setting in AppDirect and according to the product configuration in the integration module.
  • Multiple tenant support. It is now possible to integrate AppDirect with different Service Provider tenants (in the same or different datacenters). The product configuration of the integration module determines the choice of tenant to be used for the provisioning of a particular Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud product.
  • Generated logins. AppDirect users can purchase the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud product even if their email has been already used as a login for another Acronis tenant, created out of the scope of the AppDirect integration. A new tenant will be created for the product purchased via AppDirect and a new login will be generated for the user.

Known issues and limitations

  • If multiple Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud products are configured, their SSO configuration should be the same (either enabled or disabled).
  • It is not possible to purchase multiple Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud products under the same AppDirect user or to assign several such products to one and the same user.
  • If you want to allow existing customers to enable additional Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud services under existing tenants, configure these as add-ons.
