Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) once again has earned the highest possible score in the latest AV-TEST evaluation for business Windows endpoint protection, achieving 18 out of 18 points across protection, performance and usability.
The March-April 2026 AV-TEST Product Review and Certification Report evaluated 16 endpoint protection products on Windows 11 Professional. The institute noted that the evaluation focused on realistic test scenarios and challenged products against real-world threats, requiring each product to demonstrate its capabilities using all components and protection layers.

Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) delivered a perfect result: 6 out of 6 points for Protection, 6 out of 6 points for Performance and 6 out of 6 points for Usability. Since AV-TEST awards a maximum of 6 points in each category, this means Acronis achieved the best possible score.
Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) also earned AV-TEST’s “TOP PRODUCT” designation. According to AV-TEST, products that achieve at least 17.5 out of 18 points receive this recognition. With a perfect 18 out of 18 score, Acronis product did not just meet the requirement — it achieved the maximum possible result and earned the badge with a perfect score.
Strong protection against real-world threats
The Protection category measures how well a security product defends against malware infections, including threats such as viruses, worms and trojans. In this evaluation, AV-TEST tested protection against zero-day malware attacks, including web and email threats, using 285 samples. It also tested detection of widespread and prevalent malware discovered in the previous four weeks, using the AV-TEST reference set with 12,025 samples.
As we already stated, Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) earned the full 6 out of 6 points in this category. For IT teams, a perfect Protection score gives a clear and measurable proof point. It showed that Acronis product reached the maximum rating in an independent evaluation designed to test whether endpoint protection can defend against real-world threats. For service providers, this is especially valuable because customers often need simple, verifiable evidence that their security provider is using technology that has been tested by an independent organization.
The result also reinforces the value of layered endpoint defense. AV-TEST states that products must demonstrate their capabilities using all components and protection layers. Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) achieved the maximum score under those conditions, showing strong performance across the protection scenarios included in the evaluation.
Security that does not slow down the business
Strong protection is essential, but endpoint security also has to be practical. A product that protects well but slows down everyday work can create frustration for users and additional support work for IT teams. This is why AV-TEST’s Performance category is a critical part of the evaluation: it measures the average influence of the product on computer speed during daily usage.
In this test, AV-TEST measured performance across everyday business activities, including launching popular websites, downloading frequently used applications, launching standard software, installing applications and copying files locally and across a network. Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) earned 6 out of 6 points for Performance, and the detailed results show why that maximum score matters.
When launching popular websites, AV-TEST recorded a 14% slowdown for Acronis on a standard PC compared with the industry average of 16%, and a 13% slowdown on a high-end PC compared with the industry average of 15%. When downloading frequently used applications, Acronis showed no slowdown at all: 0% on both standard and high-end PCs, compared with the industry average of 1% in both cases. For launching standard software applications, Acronis also performed better than the industry average, with a 8% slowdown on a standard PC versus the 11% industry average, and a 3% slowdown on a high-end PC versus the 5% industry average.
The results were also strong in installation and file-copying scenarios. AV-TEST recorded a 20% slowdown for Acronis when installing frequently used applications on a standard PC, compared with the industry average of 16%, while on a high-end PC Acronis performed better than the industry average, with 24% versus 17%. For copying files locally and across a network, Acronis performed better than the industry average on both systems: 2% versus 3% on a standard PC, and 0% versus 2% on a high-end PC.
Overall, these results show that Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) delivered strong performance across the daily tasks that matter most to users and IT teams. In most measured scenarios, Acronis performed better than the industry average, including website launches, application downloads, software launches and file copying. Combined with the full 6 out of 6 Performance score, this gives organizations and managed service providers a strong independent proof point: Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) protects endpoints while keeping everyday work running smoothly.
Fewer disruptions for users and IT teams
The third category, Usability, measures how security software affects the overall usability of the computer. This is where AV-TEST looks at false warnings, false detections and false blockages that could interrupt normal business activity. In this category, lower values indicate better results.
Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) earned 6 out of 6 points for Usability, and the detailed results showed that it created no unnecessary disruption in the website and software-installation scenarios measured by AV-TEST. When visiting websites, AV-TEST used 500 samples to measure false warnings or blockages. Acronis recorded 0 false warnings or blockages in March and 0 in April. During installation and use of legitimate software, AV-TEST also recorded 0 false warnings and 0 false blockages across the measured samples.
The test also measured false detections of legitimate software as malware during a system scan. AV-TEST used 1,499,915 samples for this scenario, and Acronis recorded only one false detection in March and one false detection in April.
These numbers matter because usability problems are not just technical details. False positives can interrupt employees, trigger unnecessary investigations and create avoidable work for IT teams. In this evaluation, Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) achieved the maximum Usability score while keeping false warnings and blockages at zero in the measured website and legitimate software scenarios.
This result is especially relevant in environments where security teams are already managing many tools, alerts and operational demands. Effective endpoint protection should reduce risk without overwhelming administrators. By earning the maximum Usability score, Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) demonstrated that it can help support that goal.
A clear proof point for customers and partners
The latest AV-TEST result gives Acronis customers and partners a simple, credible and independent validation point: Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) achieved 18 out of 18 points in a business Windows 11 endpoint protection test getting Top Product certification badge.
The result is strong because it is balanced. Acronis did not only perform well in one category. It achieved the highest possible score in all three measured areas. Protection confirms the product’s ability to defend against malware. Performance shows that the product maintained low impact on everyday endpoint activity. Usability demonstrates that it avoided unnecessary disruption from false warnings, false detections and false blockages.
Together, these scores show that Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) meets the requirements organizations expect from modern endpoint protection. Businesses need security that is effective, efficient and manageable. They need technology that helps protect their endpoints while supporting productivity and reducing operational friction. This AV-TEST result confirms that Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) delivered across all of those areas.
