Independent testing continues to matter because security teams need more than vendor claims — they need repeatable, third-party validation under realistic conditions. That is why the latest AV-TEST results for business Windows endpoint protection stand out for Acronis.

Acronis

In AV-TEST’s February 2026 evaluation for Business Windows 11 client protection, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud received 6 points for Protection, 6 points for Performance and 6 points for Usability — the maximum possible score in each category, for a total of 18/18.

That matters for two reasons. First, AV-TEST’s scoring model caps each of the three categories at 6 points, making 18 points the highest possible result. Second, AV-TEST states that products scoring 17.5 points or higher receive its “TOP PRODUCT” award. Based on that published threshold, Acronis’ 18-point result qualifies for that distinction in this round.

The February 2026 outcome is not an isolated data point. Acronis product also earned 18/18 in June 2025, 18/18 in February 2025, and 18/18 in August 2024. Taken together, those published results support a clear, defensible message: Acronis has delivered consistently high AV-TEST scores across multiple recent business Windows evaluations, including repeated perfect totals.

Why these categories matter

AV-TEST’s business Windows evaluations are built around three categories:

Protection measures how well a product blocks current threats, including real-world attacks and detection of widespread malware from the AV-TEST reference set. Performance measures the product’s impact on everyday system speed, such as browsing, downloading, launching applications, installing software and copying files. Usability measures the extent to which the product causes disruption through false alarms, false detections or unnecessary blockages.

For customers, that combination is important. Strong protection alone is not enough if security controls slow down endpoints or generate too much noise for administrators and users. A perfect 18/18 score signals balance: High protection, low drag and minimal friction. That interpretation is supported by AV-TEST’s category definitions and point system.

Methodology background: How AV-TEST says it runs these evaluations

AV-TEST states that for the February 2026 Business Windows 11 round, it continuously evaluated 15 endpoint protection products during January and February 2026. The institute says it used the most current publicly available version of each product, allowed products to update themselves at any time and query cloud services, and focused on realistic test scenarios in which products had to demonstrate their capabilities using all components and protection layers. AV-TEST also notes that further information on the test’s compliance with the AMTSO standard is available from the linked AMTSO reference.

AV-TEST’s own methodology page adds broader context. The institute says it uses in-house analysis systems and testing procedures that are continuously adapted to the current threat landscape. It also states that its automated systems evaluate more than three million potentially malicious files, websites, and emails every day, and that it runs thousands of individual and comparative tests per year.

That background helps explain why AV-TEST results are widely referenced in SMB and enterprise security discussions: The evaluations are designed to reflect real-world threats while also measuring operational impact on endpoints.

What the February 2026 result says about Acronis

The latest result reinforces a message Acronis can make credibly: Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud continues to perform strongly in independent endpoint protection testing, without trading off protection for performance or usability. In the February 2026 AV-TEST business Windows 11 evaluation, Acronis achieved the top published score across all three categories.

And when viewed alongside AV-TEST’s recent archive of Acronis business Windows results, the story becomes even stronger: This is not just a good month. It is part of a sustained run of strong outcomes across multiple test periods.
