Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
for Service Providers

Acronis is proud to celebrate its longstanding partnership with CloudFire, an innovative Italian cloud service provider that has been transforming how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) approach data protection and business continuity. Based in Reggio Emilia, CloudFire has established itself as a leader in cloud services that put simplicity and scalability at the forefront. In recognition of this commitment to excellence, CloudFire was named Service Provider of the Year 2025.

From the very beginning, CloudFire chose Acronis as its foundation for backup and cyber protection services, building a partnership that CEO Roberto Bondavalli describes as "immediately based on a win-win approach, which has guaranteed a sustainable and long-lasting collaboration."

Finding the perfect match

Before partnering with Acronis, CloudFire faced a critical challenge: finding a backup solution that aligned perfectly with their business model. "We were looking for technology that could perfectly integrate with our business model based on 'as a service,' pay-per-usage and multi-tenant services," Bondavalli explains. "Furthermore, we needed a centralized console that offered a wide range of features for managing and monitoring backups, considering that the majority of our clients are Italian SMEs, with very specific needs and a particular focus on cost control."

After careful evaluation of market alternatives, CloudFire's technical team identified Acronis as the solution with the highest potential. The decision was strategic: Acronis perfectly mirrored CloudFire's values regarding flexibility, scalability, and support for a pay-per-usage model in a multi-tenant context.

Proof of concept: Real results from day one

CloudFire's first deployment of Acronis technology took place through a pilot project for a metalworking company in Emilia. The project involved installing a single Acronis agent that managed differentiated backups for servers, workstations and critical data, all with simple and immediate centralized monitoring.

The results spoke for themselves. The project demonstrated the ease of deployment and effectiveness of Acronis features, guaranteeing complete protection with minimal impact on existing infrastructure.

Delivering business and technical excellence

The partnership has delivered exceptional results on both fronts. "The Acronis solution allowed us to implement a scalable and flexible backup-as-a-service project, with a single agent capable of covering diverse needs," says Bondavalli.

What's particularly powerful is how backup services have become a gateway to deeper client relationships. "Often, a simple backup need leads to new opportunities for us as a cloud provider, expanding the relationship with the client towards more strategic areas such as data protection, business continuity and cybersecurity," Bondavalli adds.

A partnership that goes beyond technology

CloudFire's collaboration with Acronis extends beyond just technology integration. The partnership enables CloudFire to offer a comprehensive service portfolio ranging from backup to cybersecurity, fully meeting the increasingly complex needs of Italian SMEs.

An additional benefit has been the boost to CloudFire's market presence. Acronis actively supports CloudFire in organizing events, communication efforts and sponsorships, helping build a solid and recognized position in the competitive Italian market.

Looking forward

The relationship between CloudFire and Acronis continues to grow stronger. "The collaboration with Acronis is continually growing, and we are very proud of this shared journey," Bondavalli shares. "We look forward with enthusiasm to future opportunities for innovation and development together, certain that this partnership will continue to bring us important value and results."

The relationship between CloudFire and Acronis continues to grow stronger. “The collaboration with Acronis is continually growing, and we are very proud of this shared journey,” Bondavalli shares. Looking ahead, both companies are planning important developments for their partnership. These initiatives will require ongoing commitment and collaboration and are certain to bring further value to the Italian market.
