We are excited to announce the appointment of our new Chief Executive Officer, Prakash Panjwani.

Prakash’s longstanding history of success includes a decade leading WatchGuard, a leading MSP security platform, acquired by Vector Capital in 2022. He guided the company’s evolution from a firewall-focused business into a broader cybersecurity platform, built with AI-powered endpoint detection and response (EDR), extended detection and response (XDR), and managed detection and response (MDR).

Prior to joining WatchGuard, Prakash was CEO at SafeNet, one of the largest information security companies in the world. In his 12-year career at SafeNet, Panjwani led the strategic acquisition of 12 companies, including Aladdin Knowledge Systems and Cryptocard.

Prakash’s focus on uniting cybersecurity, data protection, infrastructure management and service automation into one natively integrated platform will play a significant role in Acronis’ continued commitment to partners and accelerating performance.

In his own words: _“Acronis has built a unique AI-native cyber platform with an MSP-focused approach that is highly scalable, with exciting recent launches including Acronis MDR, designed for MSPs to deliver unmatched business resilience. I am excited to join this team to build upon that foundation, accelerate innovation and deliver even greater value to our partners,”_ said Prakash Panjwani, CEO of Acronis._“In a highly dynamic market that is fueling the need for enhanced cybersecurity, MSPs have an excellent opportunity to adopt platforms that are built from the ground up for cyber protection, with AI-based automation to simplify operations and reduce the cost of delivering the best solution to their end users. Acronis not only has that platform in place, but also a clear opportunity to continue to build on it.”_

Prakash succeeds Jan-Jaap “JJ” Jager, who will remain an Acronis shareholder. We would like to thank Jan-Jaap his leadership as CEO and many years of leadership within the Acronis Sales organization.

_“I want to thank Jan-Jaap for advancing the product platform with AI-based innovations, driving partner growth, and positioning the company for future success,”_ said Warren Adelman, Chairperson of the Acronis Board of Directors. _“As we move forward with Prakash, we have an experienced executive to build on the momentum and lead the company through the next phase of growth. Prakash brings deep cybersecurity expertise and a proven track record in scaling global security platforms. His product and go-to-market expertise, knowledge and experience in the MSP market, and proven ability to drive organic growth and M&A activity make him the right leader at the right time for Acronis.”_

Jager will remain an Acronis shareholder and advisor.

Welcome, Prakash!
