Join Acronis Asia R&D as a Security Research Intern to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in cybersecurity and data protection. You will work alongside experienced engineers and researchers, applying your skills to real-world challenges and gaining valuable industry experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support the research and evaluation of machine learning models applied to cybersecurity challenges such as malware detection, anomaly detection, and threat intelligence.
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large cybersecurity datasets used for model training and evaluation.
- Conduct experiments to test model performance, analyze results, and help iterate on model improvements.
- Research and explore new machine learning approaches relevant to security research, including agent-based or agentic approaches to model analysis.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of scalable machine learning pipelines for security-related data processing and experimentation.
- Assist in documenting research findings, experimental results, code, and model architectures
- Collaborate with the security research and engineering teams through team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, including malware, vulnerabilities, network security, and common attack techniques.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Linux and Windows) and basic system internals.
- Basic programming or scripting experience in Python, C/C++, Go, or similar languages.
- Interest in malware analysis, threat research, reverse engineering, or vulnerability research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to research technical topics independently and clearly communicate findings.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills, with eagerness to learn in a research-oriented environment.
