We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Global Commercial Contracts to oversee and manage all commercial contracting activities across our global operations. This role will lead a team of attorneys responsible for supporting the negotiation and execution of revenue-generating and procurement contracts for a global software company.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned legal leader with deep expertise in complex SaaS transactions, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment. This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to shape and scale global commercial contracting strategy while partnering directly with executive leadership, including the General Counsel.
Location: Burlington, MA (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office) or UK (Remote)

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of attorneys supporting commercial contracting activities
- Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of a broad range of agreements, including:
- SaaS and software licensing agreements
- Customer (end-user) contracts
- Vendor and procurement agreements
- Provide strategic guidance on complex, high-value commercial transactions
- Partner closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Product, and other business teams to enable business growth while mitigating risk
- Establish and optimize scalable contracting processes, templates, and playbooks
- Drive consistency and best practices across global contracting operations
- Advise on risk management, compliance, and regulatory considerations related to commercial agreements
- Support negotiations and relationships with key strategic partners, including GSIs and hyperscalers
- Stay current on evolving laws, regulations, and market practices related to SaaS, data protection, and global commerce
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 15+ years of legal experience, with significant focus on commercial contracting in a global software or technology company
- Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams of legal professionals
- Demonstrated expertise negotiating complex SaaS transactions with enterprise customers and service providers
- Strong experience with global commercial agreements, including cross-border considerations
- Experience negotiating agreements with Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) and hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) preferred
- Deep understanding of data protection, data management, and privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, data transfer mechanisms)
- Excellent business judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

The US pay range for this position is $204,000–$300,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum total target annual compensation for this role across all U.S. locations. The actual compensation offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
