The Acronis Cyber Platform is operated as a single product with unified experiences and outcomes to protect, manage and automate workspaces and IT or OT infrastructures. Cyber Platform products, capabilities and resources can be used together or separately to tailor to the needs and preferences of different partners and customers. ### Is the Acronis Cyber Platform the same as Cyber Protect Cloud? Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud referred to the Acronis offering for service providers, powered by the Acronis Cyber Platform as technology foundation to deliver unified cyber protection as a service. Today, the Acronis Cyber Platform helps services providers and business to protect, manage and automate all IT deployments, with AI-native operations. The name Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is no longer actively used — we simply say the Acronis Cyber Platform. ### How is the Acronis Cyber Platform licensed? The Acronis Cyber Platform and its common components are included with licensed Acronis products. The products delivered from the Acronis Cyber Platform can be licensed separately or packaged together to meet evolving partner and customer requirements. Resources such as cloud storage for backup and archiving or LLM tokens for AI assistance and automation may be fully or partly included in specific licenses or charges separately. Acronis offers subscription- and volume-based licenses for end-customer businesses, and usage- and commitment-based licenses for MSP partners. End-customers have the choice to use the Acronis Cyber Platform as part of a managed service provided by an Acronis partner, or purchase licenses through an Acronis partner or directly online. Partners also have the flexibility through the Acronis partner program to use Acronis Cyber Platform to provide managed services, to resell licenses or both, to meet different business requirements. ### Is the Acronis Cyber Platform built for MSPs? The Acronis Cyber Platform is for MSPs to deliver services designed to improve and automate IT service delivery that benefits all IT professionals and teams to meet continuity, compliance and cost requirements, including managed services providers. The Acronis Cyber Platform is built on a secure multitenant architecture that is a must-have for managed services providers as well as shared service centers in enterprise. ### Does the Acronis Cyber Platform include RMM and PSA stack? The Acronis Cyber Platform includes RMM (remote ronitoring and ranagement and / or unified endpoint management) and PSA (professional services automation and / or IT service management) capabilities, used as the operational control plane and business backbone by MSPs and IT departments. Cybersecurity, data protection and cloud management across infrastructure and workspaces are also critical controls for all IT operations and uniquely the Acronis Cyber Platform natively integrates infrastructure, operations, security and service management in a single AI-native platform. Additionally, the AI-native Acronis Cyber Platform adds intelligence and automation through an open ecosystem platform that also integrates with third-party RMM, PSA and other tools. ### Can Acronis Cyber Platform be fully deployed on premises? A version of the management plane of the Acronis Cyber Platform can be deployed on-premises or colocated as a dedicated / single-tenant environment by installing an Acronis management server on infrastructure in a LAN or WAN. Backup and disaster recovery when using a dedicated Acronis management server can use local storage, but also use Acronis hosted or public cloud storage and infrastructure. Conversely, if Acronis Cyber Platform is cloud managed through the Cyber Console, it may still use storage local to the protected workloads. Deployment of a dedicated Acronis management server is only available through subscription licensing for corporate IT or OT and cannot be billed by usage in service provider licensing due to inherent metering restrictions. Other features inherently requiring cloud connectivity and capabilities are also not available if the Acronis management server is deployed locally.
