PacHosting Extends Services to Include Acronis Backup Cloud
Singapore - Hong Kong, September 7th 2015 - PacHosting today announced that Acronis Backup Cloud is now integrated into their infrastructure to offer leading edge Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) products to their Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) customers.
According to a 2014 Disaster Recovery Study from IDC*, 70 percent of SMBs do not have sufficient protection for their critical data. This partnership enabled PacHosting to address this market need and offer advanced backup solutions to freelancers and SMB on a pay-as-you-go basis.
For PacHosting customers, Acronis Backup Cloud gives the ability to completely backup physical servers and virtual machines, including operating systems and data, with an option to choose both local and cloud storage destination for dual data protection.
"Acronis Backup Cloud solution gives us the flexibility to host the backup storage locally or in one of Acronis' geographically dispersed datacenters, allowing us to meet customers' needs by offering data backup products with different SLA and performance," said Natalie Kong, CEO at PacHosting.
Acronis Backup Cloud is a comprehensive and cost-effective data protection and recovery solution with local and secure cloud storage. Powered by Acronis AnyData Engine it delivers a highly customized and complete service that backups Windows and Linux servers and Windows, Mac and Linux desktops running in physical or virtual environments. It supports file and disk imaging for complete backup and bare-metal recovery to any platform directly from the cloud.
PacHosting customers can simply create a Backup Plan through a centralized dashboard for entire machine or specific file directory, and view activity history and backup schedule for their laptops, desktop PC, Mac and servers. The dashboard allows customers to define backup subject, backup copy destinations, schedule and data retention periods.
"Cloud backup addresses a critical data protection need for today's SMBs and provides a unique opportunity for service providers to expand their portfolios with innovative new services - the cloud is enabling this to happen" said Jan-Jaap Jager, EVP APJ & Emerging Markets / President Acronis International at Acronis
