SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, June 10, 2021 - Acronis, a global
leader in cyber
protection headquartered in Schaffhausen and Singapore, today
announced the official partnership with Kadetten Schaffhausen Handball Team,
extending its commitment to supporting the Canton of Schaffhausen
through business investments and community initiatives.
Kadetten is a dominant handball team in Switzerland, competing
in the Swiss First League of Handball and boasting an impressive
record of eleven national league titles with the home court at the
BBC Arena. Kadetten is the first team in Switzerland to build a
professional handball arena, which gave the team international
recognition and great scope for hospitality services and VIP
treatment.
Acronis will enjoy prominent branding at the BBC Arena during
the games, and use the facility to hold international events both
for Acronis and the Schaffhausen Institute of Technology (SIT),
both of which were founded by Singaporean entrepreneur, scientist
and educator, Serg Bell.
"We are looking at different approaches for Acronis and SIT to
utilise the BBC Arena space," said David Graubner, CEO of Kadetten
and team manager. "With Acronis' and SIT's headquarters in
Schaffhausen, this partnership presents an effective way to show
support for the local community. We can guarantee a lot of
visibility both in Schaffhausen and in Switzerland, and through
Acronis' extensive sports partnership portfolio, Kadetten will
enjoy global exposure. It's a mutually beneficial partnership."
Acronis was founded in Singapore in 2003 and incorporated in
Switzerland in 2008, currently having more than 1,600 employees in
18 different countries.

with Kadetten is but a small contribution to the local community.
Acronis and SIT are committed to extending our presence in the
beautiful Canton of Schaffhausen. We are looking forward to
bringing international delegates to our events and promoting the
city to the outside world," said Jan-Jaap Jager, the Board Advisor
