Acronis

Ohio-based MSP replaces Microsoft Intune and Ninite Pro with Acronis RMM.

The National Basketball Association (NBA)’s Cleveland Cavaliers joins forces with Executive Computer Management Solutions Inc. (ECMSI), an Ohio-based MSP and Acronis #TeamUp partner, to protect the Cavaliers’ vast IT ecosystem. The Cavaliers used Microsoft Intune and Ninite Pro to patch critical software; however, both tools lacked robust capabilities when patching Windows machines. The Cavaliers and ECMSI chose Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with RMM to consolidate and simplify patch management with a single solution.

KEY CHALLENGES:

  • Microsoft Intune and Ninite Pro tools lacked advanced patching capabilities.
  • Separate tools made managing patches and identifying CVEs difficult.
  • Challenges with patching Windows machines elevated cyber risk.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Dedicated partner to help manage patching, stay informed on the latest vulnerabilities and strengthen security.
  • Centralized patch management and vulnerabilities assessment.
  • Ability to approve, deny or delay patches.

THE SOLUTION

ECMSI and the Cleveland Cavaliers use Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with RMM for the solution’s ease of use, pragmatic reporting and fail-safe patching.

THE IMPACT

  • Facilitates cybersecurity audits with reporting that documents active measures to mitigate cyber risk.
  • Saves the Cleveland Cavaliers’ IT department valuable time, enabling them to focus on other tasks.
  • Increases ECMSI’s leads, brand visibility and credibility in the community.
“The #TeamUp Program has been great for us. The opportunity to work with Acronis and the Cleveland Cavaliers has been a successful one. I would recommend that everyone team up with Acronis on these types of solutions. It helps from a marketing perspective and helps build relationships and trust in the community.”
