Configuring Antivirus Scans

The Antivirus settings

Here you can configure the main Antivirus features. For example, you can choose Action on detection, define Scan type, set Schedule, choose what to scan, and so on.

To access the Antivirus settings, click Protection on the True Image side bar, then click Settings, and go to the Antivirus tab.

To configure scan type:

  1. Click Schedule tab.
  2. Select the type of scan you want to perform:

To schedule antivirus scans:

  1. Click Schedule tab.
  2. Select one of the check boxes to configure the time when the scanning process shall start.

To configure Action on detection:

  1. Click Options tab.
  2. Select the options that you want to enable.

To configure what to scan:

  1. Click Options tab.
  2. Select the following check boxes:

To configure the system behavior during Antivirus scans:

If you select the Prevent the sleep or hibernate mode check box, your computer will not shut down unless the scan is performed. If some of the tasks were not completed before the system shut down, select the Run missed tasks at the startup check box to resume the scanning process when the system starts again.

In case of a CPU overload, the antivirus scan priority can be decreased to let other applications perform properly. By default, the Give priority to other applications check box is selected, and in this case, scanning will take more time.

After configuring the Antivirus scan options, click OK to save your changes.

You can view the Antivirus scan results in Scan details report.
