Downloading Protection updates

Protection updates include a database of threats and behavioral algorithms that detect viruses and other potentially harmful files and applications.

By default, Acronis True Image downloads Protection updates automatically.

To review or download Protection updates

1. On the Protection dashboard, click Settings in the lower-right corner.

2. In Protection updates, do one of the following:

   • Review the current update status to make sure that your protection uses the latest available databases and components.
   • Keep Download Protection updates automatically enabled if you want updates to be downloaded in the background.
   • If automatic downloading is disabled, click Check for updates, and then click Download if updates are available.
