When the AppleTalk protocol is installed on the server, Access Connect registers itself with AppleTalk. Mac OS 9 clients see Access Connect when they open the Chooser. If AppleTalk is not already installed, you can install the AppleTalk protocol for Windows. To install the AppleTalk protocol, add it as a protocol in the Network Control Panel.
Note: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 do not include AppleTalk.
