Access Connect uses the existing Windows user logon and passwords, so file and folder security is identical to that provided by Windows Services for Macintosh (SFM). Unless you enable ACL support, Windows and Macintosh computers handle folder and file properties differently and not all Windows access information is displayed on the Macintosh. Because Access Connect enforces Windows security settings, you should normally use Windows’s built-in tools for adjusting directory and file permissions. The standard Windows tools provide the most flexibility for setting up your security policy.
