This option lets you completely disable cataloging on a managed machine. You may need this when updating or loading the catalog takes a long time.
The option overrides the Backup cataloging option of Default backup and recovery options and of Backup options in a backup plan.
The preset is: Enabled.
When the option is disabled, Acronis Backup agents installed on the machine will not catalog backups in unmanaged vaults. Also, the Data view will not display any data when the management console is directly connected to the machine.
Whether or not backups in managed vaults are cataloged is defined by the corresponding setting of the storage node. For information on how to disable cataloging on a storage node, on the management server, and on multiple machines, see "How to disable backup cataloging".
