Creating a protection plan

You can create a protection plan in the following ways:

  • On the Devices tab. Select one or more workloads to protect, and then create a protection plan for them. Only the modules that are applicable to the selected types of workloads are shown.
  • On the Management > Protection plans tab. Create a protection plan, and then select one or more workloads to which to apply the plan.

You can apply a protection plan to more than one workload. You can also apply multiple protection plans to the same workload. To learn more about possible conflicts, see Resolving compatibility issues.

When you create a protection module with the Backup module enabled, you can enable backup encryption. For more information, see Encryption.
