Multi-streaming

This option is applicable only when the backup destination is the cloud storage. It is not applicable to local, network, or other storage locations, or to cloud-to-cloud backups, such as backups of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace workloads.

This option defines the number of concurrent data streams that are used to transfer backup data to the cloud storage.

Multi-streaming allows data to be written to the destination through multiple concurrent data streams, which can speed up backup.

The preset is 4. In the Number of concurrent streams field, set how many parallel streams to use. The minimum value is 1, and the maximum is 16.

To disable multi-streaming, set Number of concurrent streams to 1.
