# Ragnar Locker gang threatens to leak data if victims seek help

The Ragnar Locker ransomware group has announced that they will publish all stolen data immediately if their victims start talking to the police, or seek any other professional help.

The Ragnar Locker ransomware gang has announced that they will publish all stolen data immediately if their victims start talking to the police, or seek any other professional help.

These cybercriminals insist that involving professional recovery specialists or ransom negotiators will only make it worse for the victim. The group claims to be confident that they'll become aware of any such actions.

Ransomware remains a dominant cyberthreat. Last year, Ragnar Locker compromised famed beverage corporation Campari Group, stealing 2 TB of data. They then bought Facebook ads to try publicly pressuring their victim into paying a $15 million ransom.
